About

We offer Sunday School for school age children and a Nursery for babies. Every Sunday 11am-12pm children are treated to a full hour of activities that introduce them to the stories of the Bible.

The creativity and dedication of the Sunday School teachers bring joy to the children as they learn from their lessons. The children often bring their stories to the sanctuary where they sing and dance for the congregation.

Sunday School starts up again in early September.

“I wish for you my friend, this happens that I’ve found on God you can depend, it matters not where you’re bound; I’ll shout it from the mountain top; I want my world to know: the Lord of love has come to me, I want to pass it on.”

Church history books

Our History

Our church was started in the 1830s when Scottish settlers came together with a desire to fulfil their spiritual journey and hear their ancestral Gaelic language again. Two books have been written about the founding of our church and the people that lived in our communities.

History Classes

  • Learn about the beginning of our church with Bob Brown
  • Early settlers in Lobo Township
  • How our church started and grew since its early beginnings
  • Our classes have now ended but stay tuned they may repeat in the fall

Vanneck United Church

Our church partner in the former Ivan Pastoral Charge, Vanneck United Church, closed effective September 1, 2021. The Vanneck building has been sold. We wish all the best to the former members of Vanneck United Church and thank them for their partnership with us over many years.

Two stained glass windows were removed from Vanneck church and gifted to Melville. They are on display in our sanctuary.
